"Will my phone fit?" and "How big is it really?" are the two questions we get most about our wrap-fabric bags. So we pulled one of each out of the warehouse, laid them side by side and measured. Here is how the LennyLamb Waist Bag, the LennyLamb Large Waist Bag and the Didymos Moon Bag compare, and which one suits what you carry.

All three are made from real woven wrap fabric, the same cloth as the carriers, so they match your wrap or carrier and they wear in the same way: soft, sturdy and better with age.

LennyLamb Waist Bag: The Minimalist

At 10.2 x 3.5 in (26 x 9 cm) with a single zip pocket, this is the bag for people who only ever need three things: phone, keys and a card or two. Its flat shape keeps bulk to a minimum, so it sits comfortably under a wrap pass or a carrier waistband. Wear it around your waist, or sling it across your chest when you are not babywearing.

What fits: a phone (the pocket is 10.2 in wide, so a large phone fits lengthwise), keys, cards, lip balm and a hair tie. What does not: a full-size wallet or a diaper.

LennyLamb Large Waist Bag: The Everyday Carry

The Large is 13.8 x 5.9 in (35 x 15 cm) overall and has two separate zip pockets. The top pocket measures about 11.8 x 5.9 in (30 x 15 cm) and the bottom pocket about 13.8 x 4.7 in (35 x 12 cm), so you can keep your phone and keys in one and the "baby stuff" in the other. The full loop, bag and strap together, adjusts up to 58 in (148 cm). Depending on your build, that can be long enough to wear it crossbody over a carrier or a winter coat.

What fits: phone, wallet, keys and sunglasses in one pocket, a diaper and a travel pack of wipes in the other. It is still a flat bag, so it is not the one for a water bottle or a change of clothes.

Didymos Moon Bag: The Roomy One

The Moon Bag is a different shape. It measures 12 in wide by 7 in tall and, unlike the waist bags, it has real depth: about 4 in (30 x 18 x 10 cm). That gusset is what makes it feel so much bigger in use. A zipper runs across the top and there is an inner pocket for your phone or keys so they do not sink to the bottom.

The full loop, bag and strap together, adjusts from about 16.5 in to 46 in (42 to 117 cm), so it works as a shoulder bag, a crossbody or a belt bag. Didymos makes it in Germany from their own organic cotton wrap fabric (a few colourways are cotton and linen), and it is machine washable.

What fits: wallet, phone, keys and a sunglasses case, with room left for snacks and a small toy, or a diaper and wipes on a light day. If you want to leave the diaper bag at home for a short outing, this is the one.

Which One Should I Pick?

Choose the Waist Bag if you want the smallest, flattest option that stays out of the way while you wrap.

Choose the Large Waist Bag if you like separate pockets and want room for a diaper and wipes without going to a full bag.

Choose the Moon Bag if you carry more than the basics, or you want one bag that works on your shoulder as well as on your waist.
