Try Before You Buy Program – Terms & Conditions

By participating in Little Zen One's Try Before You Buy (TBYB) Program, you agree to the following terms. Please read carefully before joining — you are signing up for a community-trust program where carriers travel between hosts.

From the team at Little Zen One — based on 10+ years of running our Try Before You Buy program with 20,000+ carriers tried free.

IMPORTANT: If you are uncomfortable with this responsibility, or unable to pay for a carrier if you do not follow shipping instructions properly, please do not participate.

Program Overview

The TBYB program lets you try up to 5 carriers for 7 days each before deciding which to purchase from our shop, little zen one.

To unlock 5 additional free trials, place an order of $150+ USD at Little Zen One (gift cards included). One reset per order — a larger order does not unlock additional trials.

How It Works

  1. Sign up & join our Chatter Facebook Group to participate.
  2. Get tagged in the Featured TBYB-TIME post when it's your turn.
  3. Confirm your shipping address in the Group Chat before the sender ships.
  4. Try the carrier for 7 days.
  5. On day 8, ship or keep:
    • Ship to the next host (you cover shipping), OR
    • Keep it — 15% off + free shipping on the carrier you are currently hosting
    • Keep it — 10% off + $10.99 USD shipping if you are the first host receiving a brand-new carrier from the warehouse

Note: The 15% discount applies only to the carrier you are currently hosting, not to past trials.

Care of the Carrier

You agree to take appropriate precautions to avoid damage. If the carrier is exposed to any of the following, you may be responsible for repair, replacement, or purchase:

Scents
Essential oils, detergent, perfume, lotion, mists.
Smoke
Cigarette, cooking, fireplace, etc.
Pet hair
Visible shedding from cats, dogs, etc.
Dirt or stains
Spills, food, mud, etc.
Damage
Tears, snags beyond cosmetic, broken hardware.
Missing accessories
Straps, hoods, bags that arrived with the carrier.

Accessories: Missing accessories may result in a replacement fee or full carrier charge depending on the item.

Washing: Do not wash the carrier without first requesting permission and washing instructions from Little Zen One in the Group Chat.

Shipping & Responsibility Transfer

Your 7-day trial begins once the carrier is marked delivered.

Day 8
You must ship on day 8 (e.g. delivered Monday → ship the following Tuesday).
Tracking
Tracking must be shared within 24 hours of your ship date.
Late tracking
Failure to share tracking within 24 hours may result in an invoice for the full carrier value.

Responsibility transfers to the receiver once the carrier is marked delivered to the address provided in the Group Chat. Responsibility is determined by tracking status, not physical possession.

Sender Responsibilities

As the sender, you agree to:

  • Ship complete — include all accessories the carrier arrived with (straps, hoods, bags, etc.).
  • Ship to the exact address provided by the Admin in the Group Chat.
  • Provide photo proof — a clear, unobstructed photo of the package with the shipping label attached, posted in the Group Chat. The shipping label photo must clearly show the tracking number. A photo of a receipt or handwritten label is not sufficient.
  • Share the typed tracking number in the Group Chat on or before your ship date.
  • Confirm in transit — ensure tracking shows the package has been accepted and is in transit.

If a photo cannot be taken at the post office: Take a clear photo before drop-off or immediately after. If neither is possible, notify us in the Group Chat at the time of shipment and contact m.me/littlezenone.

Liability

If all sender responsibilities are met and the carrier is lost in transit, the sender is not financially responsible. The sender agrees to file or assist with filing a claim with the shipping carrier. If the sender receives reimbursement from the shipping carrier, they agree to remit that amount to Little Zen One.

If any sender responsibility is missed and the carrier is not delivered, the sender is responsible for purchasing it.

Receiver Responsibilities

As the receiver, you agree to:

  • Confirm your address in the Group Chat before the sender ships.
  • Ensure accuracy & security of the address you provide.
  • Be available to receive deliveries during your trial period.
  • Monitor tracking and update the Group Chat within 24 hours of the delivered scan.

Delivery Definition

Delivery is defined by the shipping carrier's tracking status (e.g. "delivered"), including delivery to a mailbox, parcel locker, or similar location.

Delivery Issues

A delivery issue must be reported within 24 hours and includes:

  • Delivered to the wrong address
  • Proof of delivery (GPS location/photo) shows a different location
  • Package arrives damaged (photo required)
  • Package arrives empty or without the carrier inside (photo required)

How & when to report: Reporting can be done via Group Chat or m.me/littlezenone, including weekends. As long as the report is sent within 24 hours of the delivered scan, it is considered on time.

Failure to report a delivery issue within 24 hours may result in the receiver being held responsible.

Liability

Confirmed carrier error
If a delivery issue is reported within 24 hours and confirmed as a shipping carrier error, you will not be held responsible.
Wrong address
If the address you provide is incorrect and results in loss or misdelivery, you are responsible for the carrier.
Loss after delivery
If all sender responsibilities are met and no delivery issue is reported within 24 hours, any loss after the confirmed delivery scan is your responsibility.

Consequences for Non-Compliance

If program rules are not followed:

Late shipping
You will be issued an invoice for the full carrier value. This invoice will be canceled if the carrier is successfully shipped and delivered to the next host.
No tracking within 24 hrs
You will be issued an invoice for the full carrier value. This invoice will be canceled if tracking is provided and the carrier is successfully delivered.

If the invoice is not paid within 48 hours and the carrier has not been delivered:

  • The carrier will be considered stolen property
  • A police report may be filed
  • You may be removed from the program

Acknowledgement of Responsibility

You agree to be responsible for the reimbursement or replacement of any carrier as outlined in these terms. If you are uncomfortable with this responsibility, or unable to pay for a carrier if you do not follow shipping instructions properly, please do not participate.

Disclaimer

By participating, you accept responsibility for inspecting and using the carrier safely. You understand and assume all risks, waiving any claims against the brand, retailer, or host. Failure to comply may result in removal from the program or charges for lost or damaged carriers.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I unlock more free trials?

Place an order of $150+ USD at Little Zen One — gift cards count. Each qualifying order unlocks 5 more free trials. It's one reset per order, so a $500 order still unlocks 5 trials (not 15). To earn additional resets, place separate orders.

At what exact point does responsibility transfer from sender to receiver?

Responsibility transfers when the shipping carrier's tracking status shows "delivered" to the address provided in the Group Chat — not when the receiver physically picks up the package.

Who is responsible if a carrier is lost in transit?

If the sender met all sender responsibilities, they are not financially responsible. The sender will file or assist with a claim with the shipping carrier, and any reimbursement received is remitted to Little Zen One. If a sender responsibility was missed, the sender is responsible for purchasing the carrier.

Who is responsible if a carrier is marked delivered but not received?

The receiver — unless a delivery issue (wrong address, GPS mismatch, damage, empty package) is reported within 24 hours of the delivered scan and confirmed as a shipping carrier error.

The post office wouldn't let me photograph the package after drop-off. What do I do?

Take a clear photo before drop-off or immediately after. If neither is possible, notify us in the Group Chat at the time of shipment and contact m.me/littlezenone.

What if my carrier is delivered while I'm out of town?

You are responsible for ensuring you are available to receive deliveries during your trial period. If travel could overlap with your delivery window, raise it in the Group Chat as early as possible so we can adjust.

Does the 24-hour reporting window apply on weekends?

Yes. Reporting can be done via Group Chat or m.me/littlezenone, including weekends. As long as the report is sent within 24 hours of the delivered scan, it is on time.

What happens if I provide the wrong address?

If the address you provide is incorrect and the package is lost or misdelivered as a result, you are responsible for the carrier.

What about minor dirt, light scents, or a few pet hairs?

You may be responsible for repair, replacement, or purchase. We assess case by case and aim to be reasonable.

Can I wash the carrier?

Not without permission. Carriers and fibers vary — request washing instructions from Little Zen One in the Group Chat first.

What does an invoice mean? Am I being charged?

An invoice is issued automatically if you ship late or don't share tracking within 24 hours. It is canceled if the carrier is successfully shipped, tracked, and delivered to the next host. You only owe the full amount if the invoice goes unpaid for 48 hours and the carrier was not delivered.
